Port of Spain’s Hilton Trinidad has completed a property-wide “refresh” project, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The hotel’s redesign was inspired by the hotel’s 1962 architecture, featuring upgrades to public areas, rooms, dining concepts and a host of new programming.

The Hilton’s 405 rooms went a “subtle” refresh, with 250 rooms getting new decor, new carpeting and upholstery and a new color scheme; 155 north-wing rooms got new 55-inch televisions.

The property also launched a new eatery called Herbs and Spices that focuses on Trinidad’s culinary heritage.

That’s along with a new lobby bar called Samaan3.

The most dramatic change may have been to the pool area, which was completely redone, with a new pool design aiming to position the area as a weekend destination.

“We are excited to welcome guests with our latest upgrades and look forward to further elevating their visit with our art and music offerings,” said Olivier Maumaire, general manager, Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre. “The modern design combined with upgraded amenities and unparalleled service allows us to offer guests an exceptional experience when visiting Port of Spain.”
