The United States Virgin Islands will soon have a new Commissioner of Tourism.

New Governor Albert Bryan has named local businessman Joe Bosculte to the role; he will soon appear before the Virgin Islands Legislature for confirmation hearings in the coming weeks.

Boschulte will succeed longtime Tourism Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty, one of the most respected tourism executives in the Caribbean.

Boschulte had previously served as president and CEO of the West Indian Company Limited.

“I look forward to building on the important work I have been engaged with across the cruise sector in the Virgin Islands,” Boschulte said.
