Aruba’s Hyatt Regency hotel has completed a $12 million renovation project that focused on upgrading its guest rooms.

The Palm Beach-area property now has 359 rooms, including 16 suites and nine accessible rooms.

The project injected a new look to the rooms, focusing on what the property calls “calming Caribbean design-inspired colors,” with new individually crafted armoires, handwoven baskets, tile and stone quartz bathrooms and amenities like 65-inch flat-screen televisions and even motion activated sensors on the floors.

The company also added new illuminated bathroom mirrors, Hyatt’s “Grand” beds and, an increasingly important touch: multiple easy-to-reach electrical outlets.

The property also completed “structural and design enhancements” at the hotel’s Piet’s Pier and Palms eateries.
