Canada has long been the most significant market for tourists to Cuba — and now there’s another new way for travelers to make the trip.

Sunwing has launched a new service from Toronto to Cienfuegos, Cuba, the resumption of a route that had not operated since 2013.

The flight marks the launch of seasonal service from Toronto to Cienfuegos each Monday through April 22, 2019.

It will be the only leisure carrier service between Toronto and Cienfuegos this year, according to a statement from the company.

“We’re very excited to re-introduce flights from Toronto to Cienfuegos and provide our customers with opportunities to visit this beautiful Cuban destination,” said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations at Sunwing. “Our return to Cienfuegos highlights our commitment to providing Canadian travelers with the widest range of flights and destinations in Cuba than any other tour operator.”
