Hilton has opened another new hotel in Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new Hilton Guadalajara Midtown is the second Hilton Hotels and Resorts property in Guadalajara.

The addition comes as Hilton is also planning to open a host of new resorts in Mexico as the result of a new strategic alliance with Playa.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts now has more than 60 hotels across seven brands in Mexico.

The new 225-room hotel includes amenities like a pool, a gym, a signature eatery, two bars and almost 10,000 square feet of flexible event space.

“As we continue to expand our presence throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, Mexico continues to be a priority as one of our fastest growing and most developed hospitality markets in the region,” said Jorge Giannattasio, senior vice president and director of operations at Hilton for the Caribbean and Latin America. “The debut of Hilton Guadalajara Midtown reinforces our commitment to offer innovative products and exceptional services to meet the changing needs of our guests around the world.”

Every room has a 55-inch flat screen television, an espresso maker, a rain shower and large workspaces with desks and ergonomic chairs, among other amenities.
