Sandals Expands Barbados All-Inclusive With New Suites
By the Caribbean Journal staff
Sandals’ newest resort in the Caribbean has gotten even bigger.
Sandals has officially launched 50 new luxury suites at its all-suite Sandals Royal Barbados resort, the company announced on Monday.
It’s the third major expansion that’s taken place at Sandals Royal Barbados, which debuted last year as the second Sandals-branded resort in Barbados.
“We are extremely proud that every one of these developments and modernization efforts were executed by the finest professionals from Barbados; from the contractors who built and finished the resorts to the nearly 1,200 local team members who have been trained to the highest levels of service and are now running the operations of the resorts, and who themselves are now training the next generation of our Sandals family,” Sandals Resorts International Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart told Caribbean Journal in a statement. “We have seen the enhancements made, and that are being made and we have every confidence in the future of Barbados.”
Sandals Royal Barbados now has a total of 552 suites at its property on the south coast of Barbados.
Sandals is calling the new units some of the “most over-the-top luxury suites” at the resort.
The new units join a resort that has some of the brand’s most unique amenities in the Caribbean, from a rooftop bar with ocean views to the first-ever bowling alley at a Sandals.
Sandals Royal Barbados first launched on the island at the end of 2017.
Sandals has embarked on a widespread expansion and upgrade push in the Caribbean in recent years.
