Two Mexican Caribbean airports are among the hottest in the region.

According to new data from Mexican company ASUR, which manages eight airports in Mexico, both Cancun and Cozumel are seeing continued surging air traffic in 2018.

Cancun International Airport reported a 9.6 percent increase in traffic in October, with a total of 1.748 million passengers, while Cozumel’s airport reported 15.8 percent growth, with a total of 30,126 passengers served.

Cancun remains the busiest of any of ASUR’s airports in Mexico, with a total of 13.676 million passengers through the first 10 months of 2018.

The latter represents a 4.2 percent increase over the same period in 2017.
