Mexican air carrier AeroMexico has begun operating its newest Caribbean flights, with a new nonstop route between Mexico City and the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana International Airport.

The new flights will operate for the season, running through April 28, 2019.

Punta Cana becomes AeroMexico’s second destination in the Dominican Republic, after having launched nonstop flights to Santo Domingo in 2016.

The Saturday flights are being operated on Embraer 190 aircraft with capacity for 99 passengers, including 11 in first class.

“We are proud to have this new Punta Cana-Mexico route from AeroMexico and to be part of their plans for growth and international expansion,” said Frank Rainieri, director general of Punta Cana International Airport.
