St Maarten’s Sonesta Ocean Point Pushes Reopening to December

St Maarten’s popular Sonesta Ocean Point resort has pushed back its reopening date to December, Sonesta said Thursday.

The Sonesta Ocean Point now has a projected reopening date of Dec. 15, while its sister resort, the luxury adults-only Sonesta Maho Resort, will open Feb. 1, 2019 as originally planned.

The Ocean Point property had been scheduled to reopen Nov. 15.

Both properties shuttered in the wake of Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Both are all-inclusive resorts and among the signature properties on St Maarten.
