Playa Hotels Names New Senior Vice President

Fast-growing all-inclusive developer Playa Hotels and Resorts has announced a major new appointment.

The company has tapped Rachel Rothman as its new senior vice president of investor relations and strategy.

Playa is the owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive properties under the Hyatt, Hilton, Jewel and Panama Jack brands in the Caribbean.

“Playa is pleased to welcome Rachael to Playa Hotels and Resorts. Her vast and in-depth knowledge of the buy-side and the hospitality sector specifically, will significantly augment the organization and enhance the achievement of our strategic objectives. We are thrilled to have her as part of the team.” said Ryan Hymel, Executive Vice President & CFO at Playa.

Rothman has worked for almost two decades as a sell-side analyst covering the hotel, REIT, cruise line, casino and restaurant sectors.

She most recently served as a senior analyst at Susquehanna Financial Group.
