Royal Caribbean’s luxury small-ship cruise line, Azamara Club Cruises, has debuted the newest addition to its fleet.
The company held a naming ceremony onboard the ship in Southampton last week, featuring the ship’s two “Godmothers”: Ellen Asmodeo-Giglio and Lucy Huxley.
“Since the announcement of Azamara Pursuit in September 2017, we have eagerly awaited this special moment to celebrate the ship’s debut,” said Larry Pimentel, President & CEO of Azamara Club Cruises. “Azamara Pursuit’s two godmothers both have a fearless dedication to adventure, and we could not be more pleased for them to lead us in this ceremony.”
The new 30,277-ton ship has a capacity for 702 guests, with 351 staterooms, five restaurants and seven bars and lounges.
Azamara Pursuit will begin Caribbean sailings in November, sailing out of PortMiami.
Some of those itineraries will also includes stops in Cuba, according to the company’s Web site.
