The Cayman Islands’ national flag carrier is making a big move.

Cayman Airways has announced plans to launch its longest-ever commercial flight service, with the launch of new flights between Denver, Colo. and Grand Cayman beginning March 2, 2019.

The new flights will be operated on Cayman Airways’ new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.

The flights aim to tap into the large market of scuba divers in Colorado, a state that is home to the sixth-largest population of scuba divers in the United States, the company said.

Cayman Airways will be the first Caribbean-based airlines to operate nonstop flights to Denver.
