Caribbean Airlines’ New Locally-Focused In-Flight Service

By the Caribbean Journal staff

Caribbean Airlines has launched a sweeping reform of its in-flight service, this time with an emphasis on authenticity.

It’s called Caribbean Cafe, and the new snack and beverage catalogue will focus on locally made products from Trinidad, Jamaica and Guyana.

That means everything from tamarind balls to mango to premium rum, according to the company.

“Caribbean Airlines is rapidly innovating in services and technology the improve the customer experience,” said Caribbean Airlines CEO Gavin Medera. “‘Caribbean Cafe also offers specialty comfort products for purchase such as power banks, blankets and plush toys.”

The launch comes a month after the carrier introduced its new Caribbean View wireless in-flight entertainment offering.

The new menu, which will launch sept. 1, will cover both Caribbean Airlines’ intra-regional flights and international service.
