A long-dormant resort has reopened its doors in Guadeloupe.
The Arawak Beach Resort in the beach town of Gosier has reopened following a major transformation project led by the Manioukani Group.
The property, which had been closed since 2009, has a total of 110 renovated rooms in a beachfront location in one of the most popular destinations on Guadeloupe’s island of Grande-Terre.
It’s a significant relaunch for an island that has seen a relative paucity of hotel development in recent years, despite having one of the more robust tourism offerings in the region.
It has a range of dining options: two restaurants, including Le Maniok and Le Baccarah, along with two bars: one called the “Puzzle Bar” that features a panoramic ocean view and another, Baccarah, set right on the beach.
There are two room categories, standard and superior.
The property is a short distance from one of Guadeloupe’s best-known resorts, La Creole Beach.
