The St Maarten-Anguilla ferry terminal has officially reopened, the Anguilla Tourist Board announced this week.

The port of entry on St Maarten is just a short distance from St Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport, and is the quickest way for travelers to get from the airport to Anguilla.

The short ferry ride takes travelers to the Blowing Point terminal in Anguilla.

The terminal officially opened on Monday, a huge step for Anguilla’s tourism recovery. It had been closed in the wake of Hurricane Irma last year.

The ATB wishes to thank the Ministry of Tourism, Charter Boat Owners, the Government of St. Maarten and other Dutch authorities for the diligence, cooperation, time and energy dedicated to getting the facility ready for operation,” the organization said in a statement.
