Canadian travel giant Sunwing is expanding again in the Caribbean, with increased service to the region out of Val-d’Or, Quebec.

In addition to nonstop flights to both Cancun in the Mexican Caribbean and Santa Maria in Cuba, Sunwing will be relaunching its nonstop flights to Punta Cana.

The company will be operating weekly flights to Cancun from Dec. 10-April 15, 2019, with regular Tuesday service to Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba from Dec. 11 to April 16, 2019.

“We are justly proud to have operated flights from Val-d’Or for over a decade,” said Executive Vice President of Sunwing Travel Group in Quebec, Sam Char. “We are delighted to be able to offer even more flight options than ever and look forward to returning to Val-d’Or for an 11th consecutive winter season.”

“Val-d’Or’s regional airport is very proud to offer this third sunny destination,” said Louise Beaulieu, General Manager for Val-d’Or Regional Airport. “We are more than happy to offer Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic to people from Abitibi-Témiscamingue this upcoming winter.”
