The highly-anticipated Viceroy Los Cabos has officially opened its doors.

The brand’s 15th property is set in the heart of San Jose del Cabo, the product of a collaboration with the Rodina Group, one of the leading investment firms in Mexico.

The property, designed by Mexican architect Miguel Angel Aragones, and formerly known as the “Mar Adentro,” has a total of 194 rooms that have undergone a series of renovations and improvements.

“This long-awaited opening of Viceroy Los Cabos marks an extremely important day for us,” said Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group. “We look forward to welcoming guests to this extraordinary resort as we strive to continue creating inspiring experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime.”

The striking property’s transformation also includes the addition of new restaurants and a state-of-the-art gym curated by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.

In total, Viceroy Los Cabos features five dining concepts, from the spectacularly designed “Nido” to the homestyle Mexican eatery Casero.

The bar and beachfront pool have also been totally re-conceptualized, as has the property’s lobby.

“As proud owners of Viceroy Los Cabos, we are delighted to collaborate with the Viceroy Hotel Group and we believe that this unique and impressive resort will further elevate the reputation of Los Cabos,” said Andres and Felipe Chico, operating partners of Rodina Group.

The property becomes Viceroy’s second hotel in Mexico, following the Viceroy Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen.
