Caribbean Airlines Launching Premium Economy

By the Caribbean Journal staff

Caribbean Airlines is getting into the premium economy game.

It’s called Caribbean Plus, and it’s a new option between traditional economy and business class.

The new Caribbean Plus cabin service will include early boarding, quicker exits, and expanded leg room.

The latter includes 37 inches of legroom, according to the company, with the Caribbean Plus Premium Economy more similar to offerings like JetBlue’s Even More Space seats than the kinds of dedicated cabin sections on carriers like British Airways.

Pricing ranges from $15 to $35 per seat depending on the destination (and higher on flights from Canada), with intra-Caribbean service costing $15.

The Caribbean Plus seats are located between rows 4 to 10 on the company’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
