The Baha Mar’s New Food Hall

By the Caribbean Journal staff

The global food hall trend has come to The Bahamas.

The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar has unveiled the new Regatta Food Hall at Nassau’s major resort, featuring a diverse range of both local Bahamian and global cuisines.

It’s a contemporary take on the traditional resort buffet, part of what has become an impressive range of eateries at the multi-hotel property on Cable Beach.

The hall offers different cuisines at each time of day, with a breakfast layout of five cooking stations and a dinner layout featuring a large rotisserie oven, large wood-burning grills, a pastry bar and stations focusing on Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.

Regatta is the creation of Chefs Robert Allum and Shyju Babu.

“In addition to the wide variety of breakfast and dinner choices, guests will also experience the finest Bahamian and regional food options, produced by some of the best local culinary talent in Nassau,” said Brent Martin, executive chef at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. “Combining the backgrounds of chefs Allum and Babu, with the incredible experience our team of Bahamian chefs together, creates an advantage in blending cultures and culinary styles like no other. Regatta Food Hall will be both an experience and journey in culinary culture for our guests.”
