Palace Resorts’ Playacar Palace has reopened following a $14 million transformation project.

The Playa del Carmen-area property underwent a major renovation, with everything from upgrades to the guest rooms, lobby and restaurants to totally new interiors.

The interior redesign was envisioned by architect Roberto Elias and interior designer Francois Frossard.

New features include “walk out” suites, including private terraces; technology updates featuring wristband keys; and a menu revamp by noted Chef Antonio Bachour.

Each of the property’s 201 rooms now has new decor, modern furnishings, enhanced showers and vanity areas and even Lavazza coffee makers.
