One of the Caribbean’s most beloved hotels is planning a triumphant return.

The popular Grand Case Beach Club, which closed in the wake of Hurricane Irma’s devastating impact in St Martin, has announced plans to reopen.

The property is now taking reservations on its Web site.

The Grand Case Beach Club will reopen for guests Oct. 1, 2018, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The 71-unit beachfront property (long a favorite of CJ editors) is set in the heart of Grand Case, long the culinary capital of the Caribbean.

“We have been busy repairing and improving GCBC from top to bottom,” the property wrote in a statement on its Facebook page.

It’s a much-anticipated return and a significant boost for a destination whose tourism sector has been in need of one.

It’s also a big step for the town of Grand Case, hit particularly hard by Irma, although it has been making a strong recovery in recent months with the relaunch of a number of restaurants, including favorites like Bistrot Caraibes, Spiga, Rainbow Cafe and Piazza Pascal, among others.
