Cancun International Airport continues to show surging growth, according to the latest data report from ASUR, which manages the airport.
Cancun reported 2.158 million passengers in December, a 7.2 percent increase over the same period in 2016.

Overall, passenger traffic in Cancun rose by 10.2 percent to 21.4 million in 2017.
Cancun is the busiest tourism destination in the wider Caribbean region by total visitor volume, trailed by the Dominican Republic.
