Days after the reopening of the popular Tom Beach hotel in St Barth, the property’s famous beach bar has also reopened its doors.

La Plage, one of the main hotspots on the sand in St Jean, is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner after its relaunch Dec. 27 in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

This season the focus will be a bit different, with a more casual drinks and appetizers format.

“By all accounts the new concept was very well received,” WIMCO Villas president and St Barth expert Stiles Bennet tells Caribbean Journal.

It’s another major step for the island’s rapid tourism recovery.
