Cancun Airport Traffic Surge Continues

Cancun International Airport continues to see surging growth, according to the latest data from Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, which manages the airport.

Cancun reported 1.85 million passengers in November, an 8.5 percent increase over the same month in 2016.

For the year, passenger traffic in Cancun is up to 21.4 million, a 10.5 percent increase over the 19.4 million million passengers the airport saw through the same period last year.

That includes 8.4 percent year-over-year growth in international traffic in Cancun.

Cancun is the largest of ASUR’s airports in Mexico by passenger volume.
