Rosewood Names New VP for Branding

Rosewood Hotel Group has named a new vice president for brand marketing and communications.

The company has appointed Robert Cheng to the role, in which he will spearhead the group’s overall strategic branding and communications.

“In the next few years, as Rosewood Hotel Group expands its global footprint, Robert’s international background and vast experience in luxury and hospitality will be an invaluable asset to our growing portfolio,” said Thuy Tranthi Rieder, group vice president of sales and marketing of Rosewood Hotel Group.

Cheng was most recently group vice president of marketing at The Peninsula Hotels, following a year as director of sales and marketing for The Peninsula Shanghai.

While Rosewood’s Caribbean footprint has shrunk in recent years, the company does operate several hotels in the region, from the British Virgin Islands to Mexico.
