There’s another new golf course in the Dominican Republic: La Romana Golf Club.

Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts has officially opened the club, located in Playa Nueva Romana on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic.

The club also includes a restaurant, bar, boutique and a golf academy; it’s close to two of the company’s resorts in La Romana: Grand Bahia Principe La Romana and Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville.

It’s the second golf course by Bahia Principe and parent company Grupo Piñero.

The par-72 course was designed by Maverick Design & Construction.

“To further enhance the Bahia Principe vacation offering, we are excited to open the new championship golf course at La Romana Golf Club featuring state-of-the-art facilities,” said Julio Pérez González, Executive Vice President at Grupo Piñero. “This project is a testament to the brand’s commitment to the Dominican Republic’s thriving tourism sector; we have invested more than USD $800 million in the island and have created over 9,000 jobs spread between the 14 luxurious properties we own and operate in Punta Cana, Samana, Rio San Juan and La Romana.”
