Norwegian Escape Shifting Caribbean Itineraries

By the Caribbean Journal staff

Norwegian Escape will be shifting its Eastern Caribbean itineraries to the Western Caribbean for the remainder of 2017, Norwegian Cruise Line announced.

The changes come after the passage of Hurricane Maria and Irma impacted destinations including Tortola, St Thomas, San Juan and St Maarten.

“We are working with our partners on the ground on the affected islands to provide assistance to ensure these spectacular destinations are up and running and ready to welcome guests again very soon,” the company said in a statement.

The seven-day sailings will be calling on Western Caribbean destinations including Roatan, Harvest Caye in Belize, and the Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico.

“Norwegian Cruise Line ships have resumed normal operations and many of our guests’ favorite Caribbean destinations remain unaffected by these storms,” the company said. “While we hope that our affected ports-of-call are operational again soon, we have the flexibility to alter future itineraries to ensure a great guest experience, if needed.”
