Nassau Airport Reopens

Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport has reopened following Hurricane Irma, the Nassau Airport Development Company announced.

The airport sustained no damage from Hurricane Irma, leading to an “all clear” issued by the Bahamas’ Emergency Management Agency and the Meteorological Department.

Officials said flights were set to resume on Sunday, although it’s not yet clear which flights will begin operating to Nassau in view of the hurricane’s proximity to the Bahamas.

All other airports in the Bahamas remain closed as a precaution.
