A New Jungle Bay in Dominica

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 24, 2017

The Jungle Bay eco-hotel, which was destroyed in 2015 by Tropical Storm Erika, is making a triumphant return.

The property is being rebranded as Jungle Bay Eco Villas, an eco hotel which will include 60 duplex-style villas, along with spa and wellness areas, yoga pavilions, a health food restaurant and a dedicated garden space.

The villas will be decidedly more luxurious than the earlier incarnation of Jungle Bay, though its commitment to sustainability will remain the same — with plans to make the property 100 percent sustainable, from the addition of solar panels to a gravity water feed for water collecction.

Design firm OBMI created the master plan and design for the new Jungle Bay.

Jungle Bay is also approved under Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment program.

Jungle Bay Eco Villas is expected to open at the end of 2018
