First-Ever Kansas City-Punta Cana Flights

Travel company Vacation Express is expanding its flights to the Dominican Republic, it announced last week.

The flights are available between Feb. 18 and Aug. 3, with flights leaving Kansas City on Friday and returning on Thursday.

Vacation Express will launch new charter flights between Kansas City International Airport and Punta Cana, the first-ever nonstop service between Kansas City and Punta Cana.

“The demand for air travel between Kansas City and the Caribbean reached an all-time high earlier this year when Punta Cana became the most popular Caribbean destination for Kansas City vacationers,” said Kansas City Director of Aviation Pat Klein. “We appreciate Vacation Express for their willingness to add Kansas City to their expanding network.”

The weekly flights will be operated by Miami Air International on Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 180 seats.

Flights and packages are both offered directly through Vacation Express.
