Bahia Principe Parent Company Names New CEO

Grupo Piñero, the parent company of Caribbean resort firm Bahia Principe, has named a new CEO.

The company has appointed Encarna Piñero, who had already been serving as the company’s vice president.

Piñero will report directly to her father, Grupo Piñero founder and President, Pablo Piñero, with responsibilities including “overseeing the development and execution of the company’s strategy,” according to a statement.

Piñero said her new role “represents a logical, well-thought and consistent progression given our commitment to remain a family-owned group.”

“[This] will take us to a new stage where our main strategic goals will remain while we face new challenges, such as the integration of corporate social responsibility in our business model and our irrevocable digital transformation,” she said.

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has properties in three Caribbean destinations.
