How to Drive Around Bermuda in Style

By Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon

If you’re headed to Bermuda you probably already know that visitors aren’t permitted to rent cars there.

But you might not know that there’s a new option for getting around the island: a fleet of 25 electric buggies available to guests at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

The property (official host for the 2017 America’s Cup) is the first on island to offer the two-seater Renault Twizy cars to guests.

The Twizy (its name is an abbreviation of “twin” and “easy”) was designed by Renault’s Formula One racing team, and can travel up to 50 miles on a single charge – perfect for exploring nearby attractions such as Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse and the picturesque town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, St. George’s.

Available on a first-come, first-served basis exclusively to registered guests 18 and older with a valid driver’s license.
