JetBlue’s Latest Traffic Data

JetBlue reported its preliminary traffic results for May 2017.

Traffic for the month increased 3.8 percent from May 2016 with a total of 3.986 billion revenue passenger miles on a capacity increase of 3.7 percent.

Load factor for May 2017 was 84.7 percent, an increase of 0.1 points from May 2016.

The airline’s preliminary completion factor was 97.4 percent and its on-time performance was 67.2 percent.

For the second quarter of 2017, JetBlue continues to expect revenue per available seat mile to increase 4.0 and 6.0 compared to the second quarter of 2016, it said in a statement.

JetBlue has been the Caribbean’s fastest-growing airline for several years, although Southwest Airlines has recently become a more significant competitor.
