A New Beach Club in San Juan

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 28, 2017

There’s a new hotspot in San Juan.

The El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico’s capital has opened the new El San Juan Beach Club this weekend.

The new beach club on Isla Verde beach transforms the outdoor environment of El San Juan Hotel into a stylish party atmosphere.

The beach club debuted with a series of events for Memorial Day weekend.

“We are thrilled to open the El San Juan Beach Club, an upscale and trendsetting beach club that allows both guests and locals to enjoy the best entertainment and culinary experiences in San Juan,” said Andro Nodarse-León of León Mayer & Co., one of the owners and asset manager of the resort.

Miami socialites Michael Capponi and Eric Milon are the co-creators and partners on the club, with Puerto Rico nightclub owner Shimmy Mchugh.

“For years I have been coming to Puerto Rico to visit its incredible rainforests, enjoy the island’s heritage and culture and stay at El San Juan Hotel,” Capponi said.

El San Juan Beach Club is open Monday to Thursday from 11AM to 7PM and Friday to Sunday from 11AM to 11PM.

The Beach Club features 22 cabanas and over 20 day beds including a 60-foot-long daybed with additional access to VIP cabanas that are bookable in advance or the day of the Beach Club events.

“With my nightlife background and the prominence of the El San Juan Hotel as a local icon, El San Juan Beach Club is a very exciting project,” Capponi said. “The El San Juan Beach Club will surely become one of the major hotspots in the Caribbean. This is the perfect complement to the incredible renovation by Jeffrey Beers International of this iconic, one of a kind property.”
