Jumby Bay Launches Organic Farm

The private-island Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort off the coast of Antigua, has launched a new organic farm and kitchen garden.

Accessed via foot path, the farm encompasses a vegetable garden, an herb garden and an orchard.

It also houses the island’s flock of Persian sheep, along with 24 chickens that will provide fresh eggs daily for the resort.

Grown using natural fertilizer, the Jumby Farm and Kitchen Garden grows a host of vegetables including arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, spinach, avocado, sweet peppers and green and purple kale, along with a variety of tropical fruits.
