In Tortola, Jazz and Style

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 1, 2017

A new festival is coming to the British Virgin Islands.

The Tortola Pier Park will hold its first annual Jazz & Style festival May 26th and 27th.

The festival will fuse the best of jazz music with the stylish fashion designs, jewelry and accessories available at Tortola Pier Park stores as well as new designs created by local talent.

“We are creating a signature event for Tortola Pier Park that will showcase our vast offerings at the facility, while providing the perfect environment where residents and visitors alike can enjoy the distinctive rhythmic music being performed by local and international artists,” said Dona Regis, CEO of Tortola Pier Park Ltd.

“As such, the Jazz & Style Festival was developed, creating the perfect fusion of music and fashion,” she said. “We are very excited about this event and are confident that it will add to the appeal of the beautiful British Virgin Islands and encourage more visitors to visit our shores.”

Headlining artists include Dean Frazer featuring Allaine and Karen Smith, Etiene Charles and Creole Soul, Morgan Heritage, Stingray Singers, Dalan Vanterpool, Kamau Georges and 2nd degree.

The event will also feature guest Supermodel Naima Mora, cycle four winner of America’s Next Top model, for a fashion showcase during the event.
