Miami’s Pubbelly Expands to Puerto Rico With PB Ysla

By: - April 13th, 2017

The Miami-based Pubbelly Group has expanded in the Caribbean with a new outpost in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

It’s called PB Ysla, and it’s the brainchild of Chef Jose Mendin set in the increasingly hip, artsy Santurce neighborhood.

It’s also a return home for Mendin, a Puerto Rico native, who has created a diverse menu of everything from short rib gyozas (part of a dim sum menu) to a 22-oz “chuleton” dry-aged bone-in ribeye.

It’s the second Caribbean location for Pubbelly Group, which debuted a Pubbelly Sushi location at the Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo resort last year.
