Jamaica’s Dunn’s River Falls Now Has a Water Park

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 2, 2017

The popular Dunn’s River Falls attraction in Ocho Rios, Jamaica has unveiled some upgrades, led by a major new water park.

That includes the recent addition of a new theme park project called Central Gardens, according to Michael Belnavis, chairman of the National Cruise Council.

“Dunn’s River has been for many years the number-one attraction in the Caribbean. Such has been its dominance that almost every attraction between Falmouth and Ocho Rios has married their product with Dunn’s River as part of their marketing strategy,” Belnavis said. “It is now fashionable for them to tell the guest to go to Dunn’s River first, then finish off your day with us for one price.”

Coral Gardens, which opened March 23, includes a water slide and a splash pad.

Dunn’s River Falls already receives around 800,000 visitors every year.
