Grenada Is Expecting a Cruise Surge

Grenada is expecting a major surge in cruise passenger arrivals over the next two years, according to the Grenada Tourism Authority.

The GTA recently attended the Seatrade Cruise Global conference in Fort Lauderdale, with a delegation led by Tourism Minister Clarice Modeste-Curwen and GTA CEO Patricia Maher, among others.

Maher said Grenada had been seeing renewed interest because of its “safety and new attractions,” leading to the expected surge.

Maher’s delegation held talks with lines including Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Lines and Norwegian Cruise lines in Fort Lauderdale.
