The 10 Best Caribbean Spa Resorts

It’s one thing for a Caribbean hotel to have a great spa — and the region is blessed with a striking number of world-class spas. But it’s quite another to have such a good spa so as to make the hotel a spa destination in itself. That’s the case with these 10 resorts, which have spas that, by some combination of spa quality, ambience and a commitment to wellness, that they become “spa resorts. Here they are.

Caribbean Spa

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

This St. Lucia standout’s Rainforest Spa is one of the most stunning spas, not just in the Caribbean, but in the world. Set in a handful of treehouse treatment rooms at the foot of the Pitons, you can get a remarkably diverse set of treatments from locally-sourced fruits and herbs to bamboo massages.

The Palms Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos Islands just might be the Caribbean capital of spa resorts, and the Palms, one of the destination’s greatest luxury resorts, is right at the top of the pack, not just in the TCI, but in the whole Caribbean, with a massive 25,000-square-foot spa with everything from mineral clay baths to “mother of pearl” scrubs.

Peter Island

Perched on a spectacular setting at the ocean’s edge on Big Reef Bay, this 10,000-square-foot British Virgin Islands spa has everything from scrubs, facials and delicious massages to the resort’s expert area: Ayurvedic treatments.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Set in view of Nevis Peak, this impossibly relaxed spa’s standout is its Spa Gardens and Sala Deck, with a Japanese cold plunge pool, a volcanic stone hot water pool and even a spa cuisine menu. The locally-inspired treatments are a must.

COMO Parrot Cay

It’s not surprise that COMO’s only Caribbean resort should be on this list. The company’s Turks and Caicos private island location’s Wellness and Spa by Como Shambala offers a broad range of Asian-inspired treatments, from pilates and aromatherapy to yoga treatments. The views from the outdoor Jacuzzi garden are no slouch, either.

Amanyara

This Bali-inspired resort’s spa on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is located on the edge of a pond, with a boutique atmosphere (just four treatment rooms) but an ultra-tranquil vibe that belies its small size. Treatments range from coconut oil and sea salt skin rejuvenations to “flotation” water treatments.

BodyHoliday

Some resorts have great spas. One could argue that this entire St. Lucia property is itself a spa — one focused on total rejuvenation of both body and soul. And then there’s the party piece — this is an all-inclusive that features a complimentary spa treatment every day of your stay.

Le Guanahani

St. Barth’s top beach hotel features a signature spa by Clarins and a show-stopping treatment area that includes its own pool, outdoor showers, a steam room and the kind of spa boutique you’d only expect to find on the streets of Paris.

Half Moon

Yes, the treatments are numerous and splendid, from therapeutic massages to Jamaican Bush Baths. But the real star of Jamaica’s best resort spa is this: overwater spa bungalows that are an unmatched Caribbean experience.

One & Only Ocean Club

It’s just a thirty minute flight from Miami, but One&Only’s impossibly tranquil resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas will take you to a different dimension at its destination spa, with a host of wellness journeys right at the edge of the sea. Our favorite part? You can even get treatments as long as five hours. Now that’s a spa day.
