UberMoto Comes to Santo Domingo

Uber’s motorbike-ridesharing service UberMoto has come to the Caribbean.

The platform has officially launched operations in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, offering a new option for Dominicans and travelers looking to beat urban traffic.

“With the arrival of UberMoto, Uber is expanding its commitment to facilitate more safe, efficient and accessible transportation options that improve the mobility of Santo Domingo,” the company said in a release.

Riders simply have to select the UberMoto option in their Uber app and wait for a motorbike driver to arrive.

Santo Domingo is one of just four Caribbean cities that have Uber’s general ridesharing service, along with San Juan, Puerto Rico and Port of Spain and San Fernando, Trinidad.
