More Ways to Buy Tickets to Culebra, Vieques

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 8, 2017

Getting to Vieques and Culebra has never been easier, thanks to a new agreement between Seaborne Airlines and Vieques Air Link.

The two carriers have announced a distribution partnership and codeshare agreement, meaning Seaborne will host Vieques Air Link’s scheduled itineraries on its reservation system.

“Now our customers will benefit from direct transfers using the San Juan International SJU Airport. This connectivity will bring convenience and flexibility to all tourism and residents as well. The combination of two of Puerto Rico’s leading airlines is the beginning of a comprehensive Caribbean routes coverage like no other in the airline industry,” said Carlos Rodriguez, President and General Manager for Vieques Air Link.

That will also make it easier to connect to Vieques and Culebra thanks to Seaborne’s interline agreements with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue and United.

Vieques Air Link customers who fly on Seaborne can also enjoy the benefit of traveling on a single ticket.

“This agreement combines Seaborne Airlines’ experience serving exciting Caribbean destinations with Vieques Air Link established roots in the market. Booking, ticketing and itinerary will be more convenient than ever before, said Ben Munson, CEO of Seaborne Airlines. “I’m confident that our customers, especially Puerto Rico residents, will all benefit as a result of this agreement.” Munson Added.

It’s the latest boost for travel to Vieques and Culebra, following last year’s codeshare agreement between JetBlue and Cape Air.
