Royalton Bavaro Project Breaks Ground

One of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing hotel companies has added another project.

Blue Diamond Resorts has broken ground on the new Royalton Bavaro project in the Dominican Republic.

Blue Diamond executives joined Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina for the launch ceremony for the project, which is slated to open in the 2017-2018 winter tourist season.

“We look forward to building on our presence in Punta Cana with Royalton Bavaro and enjoy the success we’ve shared at CHIC, Memories Splash and Royalton Punta Cana by the end of the year,” said Jordi Pelfort, Managing Director, Blue Diamond Resorts. “We couldn’t be happier to bring guests another award-winning vacation experience here.”

The resort will include 730 rooms and will be the first new-build property for the company in the Dominican Republic.

Royalton Bavaro will also feature nine restaurants ranging from a beach buffet to a “teppanyaki” restaurant called Zen.
