Five Tiny All-Inclusives to Visit in the Caribbean

So you love Caribbean all-inclusives: the convenience, the comfort, the unlimited drinks. But maybe you’re looking for something a bit different — all of the amenities, but delivered in a significantly smaller package than the large all-inclusive you’re used to. Think boutique hotel meets Caribbean all-inclusive. At these hotels, you get all-inclusive convenience but a far more intimate atmosphere. Here are 10 to try right now all of which have less than 44 rooms.

The Caves, Jamaica

Perhaps the Caribbean’s most prestigious boutique all-inclusive, this 12-unit Island Outpost property oozes Jamaican cool, from its locally-sourced cuisine to jerk barbecues to its lovely Blackwell rum bar.

Small Hope Bay Lodge, Bahamas

It’s about as far as you can imagine from the all-inclusive you’re used to: a small fishing lodge set on the mysterious, naturally beautiful Bahamian island of Andros, set on the third largest barrier reef in the world. This historic property has a mix of rooms and cabins, but the best part might be the stocked free bar right next to the beach.

Palm Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

This 43-room private island retreat has long been one of our favorite all-inclusives, with a castaway-chic vibe, warm service and jaw-dropping scenery from its seemingly endless white-sand perimeter.

Hermitage Bay, Antigua

This simply gorgeous 27-unit property is a luxury, upscale retreat with a mix of artfully designed hillside and beachfront cottages (the former boast plunge pools).

Keyonna Beach Resort, Antigua

One of the region’s newer all-inclusives (and among its best values), this adults-only resort set on Turner’s Beach in Antigua has 1,000 feet of white sand beach and rustic-chic rooms (we’re partial to the pool cottages that come with their own plunge pools).
