Aruba Offers Free Vacations for Atlanta Falcons Players

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Atlanta Falcons in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but one Caribbean island is looking to ease the pain.

The Aruba Tourism Authority has offered expenses-paid vacations to the entire Falcons team.

“Both teams overcame obstacles and fought hard this season, and we want to recognize the Falcons’ dedication and perseverance despite the outcome,” said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority. “Our destination is famous for warm hospitality and happy locals, and we believe it’s important to embrace both wins and losses in the pursuit of a happy, fulfilling life. We welcome the Falcons to celebrate their year-long accomplishments together in Aruba. After all, we are the One happy island.”

The Aruba Marriott

The offer includes hotels and flights for all players currently on the team roster, according to the ATA.

“Arubans are enthusiastic participants in the international sports craze, as the island is home to several Olympians and World Series Champion Xander Bogaerts,” said Tjin Asjoe-Croes. “Sports bring people together, and our entire destination is eager to cheer on the Falcons as they touch down in Aruba.”

Not a bad consolation prize.
