A Perfect Cocktail to Lime in Trinidad
This month, thousands of revelers will make their way to Trinidad for Carnival. Known as the largest in the Caribbean, Trinidad’s Carnival is the country’s main festival as many say “In Trinidad there are two seasons – Carnival and getting ready for Carnival.” Each year right after Christmas, Trinidad & Tobago heats up with celebrations and fetes leading up to the main event.
Here’s a recipe for a perfect cocktail to lime just right.
1 oz. orange vodka
1 oz. silver tequila
1 oz. coconut rum
¾ oz. blue curacao
1 ½ oz. lemon liqueur
Splash of crème de menthe
Splash of sour apple liqueur
Mix orange vodka, tequila, coconut rum, blue curacao, lemon liqueur, crème de menthe and a squeeze of lime and pour into a rocks glass with ice. Top with sour apple liqueur and garnish with fresh mint leaves and green melon balls.
