VIDEO: Cayman’s Impressive New Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 6, 2016

The Caribbean’s most anticipated new resort is officially open: the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa in Grand Cayman, Kimpton’s first international hotel.

It’s a 266-room resort on the heart of Seven Mile Beach and a strikingly modern approach to Caribbean hotel design, one that works so well in part because it’s in one of the Caribbean’s most modern, forward-thinking destinations.

In a word, it’s spectacular. SB Architects’ design is fresh and creative, the culinary offerings are superb and the rooms are large and luxurious; but the most important thing you need to know about this hotel is something else: the service.

On Seven Mile Beach.

On Seven Mile Beach.

Plainly, this is as high a level of service you’ll find anywhere in the Caribbean, with engaging, energetic and informative staff not just ready to assist, but actively trying to assist you no matter where you are.

It’s a breath of fresh air — because all too often high-design hotels focus so much on aesthetics that the service fails to match the look.

Not here — this a new exemplar for the region.

And it all adds up to what is the Caribbean’s most impressive new hotel of 2016.
