Carnival Vista has arrived in PortMiami to begin year-round Caribbean cruises.

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship, Carnival Vista, will be sailing a year-round schedule of six and eight-day cruises to the Caribbean.

The new ship includes features like SkyRide, a suspended, open-air cycling experience; the world’s first IMAX theater at sea; and a new water tube slide called Kaleid-O-Slide, among others.

Guests onboard Carnival Vista participate in SkyRide, an opportunity to pedal hanging recumbent-like bikes around an 800-foot-long suspended track some 150 feet above the sea.

“Miami has been our home since our company’s inception in 1972 and homeporting the new Carnival Vista here not only provides consumers with a convenient homeport with renovated facilities and numerous operational enhancements but speaks volumes about our confidence in growing this important market,” and said Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president.

The ship’s six-day cruises stop in Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, while eight-day cruises will feature a mix of stops, including destinations like Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts, St. Maarten and La Romana.

Vista will also offer some one-time voyages, including a five-day cruise on Dec. 11 and seven-day trips on Dec. 17 and Dec. 24.
