Major New Project Launches in Grenada

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 13, 2016

A major new project has officially broken ground to soon join the top Grenada hotels.

The Levera Beach Resort Grenada is set on 375 acres on Grenada’s largely undeveloped northeastern coast.

The multi-phased project will begin with the construction of the Turtle Beach Resort, which will include an 80-unit boutique hotel, 40 hotel cottages, 20 casitas and villas and two farm-to-table restaurants, along with pools, a spa and an organic orchard.

Levera is adjacent to the Levera National Park, an important wildlife habitat, and developers have stressed that the project is “dedicated to the preservation of its surroundings,” including plans for green energy (including wind and solar power), recyling, composting and water reclamation, along with an on-site EcoCenter.

The project also has access to two private islands.

“We guarantee you that it will continue to move forward from this point on. We have put our heart, our soul, our money, everything that we can into this and we’ve got many wonderful people who are starting to join us,” said Randy Oveson, one of the investors.

The project in the parish of St. Patrick has already begun cutting foundation site pads for the first 14 cottages, along with new roads.

Overson said the project would create around 100 jobs in its first phase, with more than 400 by the completion of the final phase.

The project is being developed under the Grenada Citizenship By Investment Programme, which offers citizenship for different levels of investment.
