The Westin Grand Cayman’s $50 Million Renovation Project

The Westin Grand Cayman is close to debuting the first phase of a $50 million renovation project at the Caribbean hotel.

The 343-room resort will reveal a more open lobby with panoramic views of Seven Mile Beach; a new design palate and an expanded freshwater pool and swim-up bar.

The renovation is being led by West Palm Beach-based GS4studios.

The wider two-phased “evolution,” as the hotel described it, is slated for completion in August 2017, with the latter half to include reimagined guestrooms and suites.

The hotel’s Cafe Soleil is also being rebranded as the Cayman Coffee Exchange, and it will be relocated to a “more convenient location.”

“Favored for providing travelers access to the widest and most expansive area of the famed Seven Mile Beach, Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa is one of the most celebrated properties in the Cayman Islands,” said Vice President Managing Director Morty Valldejuli. “The renovation will ensure Westin Grand Cayman remains a preferred destination through heightened guest experiences, fresh new design features and continued world-class service from some of the most talented and passionate hospitality professionals in the Caribbean.”
